Bookkeeping involves the recording of all financial transactions, and as such, is a very important aspect of your business.

Some people do their books in-house, others outsource it to a bookkeeper or an accountant, others run no books at all, but at some stage realize that it needs to be done, at which point a huge amount of work is involved in gathering, sorting and processing all the paperwork. This most often results in a huge expense and a great deal of stress and time wasted. Our advice is to not delay and get it sorted!

  • We can assist you by installing, setting up and training you on an accounting package so that your can do your books in-house.
  • We can do the above but train you only in the aspects that you would like to undertake (eg. invoicing of customers) and we could come to your premises to perform the other necessities that you would prefer us to do.
  • We can take on the full function of bookkeeping using our programs at our offices. In this case we would simply collect all relevant paperwork and do the processing ourselves.

The best option for you depends on the skills and time at your disposal. If you or the relevant person has the time and / or ability to be trained for bookkeeping or just some aspects, then in-house training and implementation will save you money in the long run. Initially it may cost you more due to the training and overseeing involved, but long-term it would work out to be the most economical route.

On the other hand, if time, skills or staffing are an issue, then outsourcing the bookkeeping function is the best option for you. However, this need not be as expensive as you might think, especially if systems are in place making the bookkeeping processing easier and quicker.
In this instance, we will work with you to ensure good systems.

Accounting refers to the analysis of the prepared management reports generated through bookkeeping and the preparation of financial statements. These financial statements are required for tax purposes and are also the official reports to which one refers when looking at the financial position of a company.

  • We are able to offer this service at a competitive price without compromising on the quality and efficiency of our work. In most cases, if your bookkeeping system is working well and processing is done correctly, then your accounting fees should be minimal as financials are prepared using the reports generated from your bookkeeping system, usually at financial year end.

Payroll involves the processing & generating of employee payslips. Many small companies simply use excel spreadsheets or even written payslips for their staff. Whilst there is nothing wrong with this, it is important to ensure that you keep abreast of all statutory deductions as stipulated by government legislation, and ensure that you are deducting accordingly.

  • The main benefits of using a payroll package is that (1) you can perform regular updates which will ensure you are complying with government legislature; (2) the system can generate reports which you can use for PAYE & UIF returns; (3) your staff will receive professional payslips and (4) you have peace of mind knowing that this important aspect is taken care of properly.
  • If you are interested in having your payroll done properly, you can either outsource it to us and we will use our office program, or you can purchase your own package and we can install it and train you or a staff member to use it. For small companies who employ under 10 employees, it usually works out to be cheaper for you to outsource it than to pay for the software, the training, backup assistance should you need help from us, and the annual license fees.
